NISHAN KAZAZIAN, AIA, SARA

Nishan Kazazian is a licensed American architect in private practice in New York and East Hampton. He is co-founder and principal of A&A Design Group in Chelsea, specializing in architecture, interior design, and the integration of art in architecture with commercial and residential projects in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. Kazazian sees architecture, interior design and art as inseparable from each other.

Kazazian has worked for major architectural firms in the US and abroad. His architectural work has been published in international and local magazines and his artwork has been exhibited in galleries in the US and abroad.

A former Fulbright Fellow, and recipient of many awards, Kazazian is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the Society of American Registered Architects and the Architectural League. He is also an educator who has taught at New York University and Parsons The New School. He has been invited as a critic and discussant at Columbia University, Pratt, CUNY, City Tech, and New York Institute of Technology. Kazazian has a Masters in Architecture from Columbia University and a Masters in Art and Art Education from Teachers College, Columbia University.

Kazazian is currently preparing a monograph of his complete works, scheduled for publication in Fall 2020 and tentatively entitled “Connecting the dots: Architecture and Art.”
